Application Tool Development experience and willingness to learn additional features for JIRA. Expected to collaborate across cross-functional teams to innovate and deliver streamlined solutions that integrate unique data formats from project platforms such as SharePoint, SAP, Excel, Enable Now, etc. that are unique to the project and client’s needs.

Willing to learn testing tool integration in order to upload test cases and scripts through the JIRA widget for TriCentist tools such as Load Test, Tosca Automation Scripts and qTest for test case reporting.

High level Development education and background for forward-thinking JIRA filters and dashboard designs is required.   Candidate needs to be a self-starter who has the intent and ability to utilize automation and plugins to streamline solutions for our client along with the documentation that supports the development of workflows and collaboration with developers, testers, master data architects, OCM and Business management for real time reporting. 

Requirements

  • Analyze, review, and document current functionality to determine potential areas of improvement.
  • Manage user permissions for tools according to the needs of projects and teams.
  • Test new versions of the tools and plug-ins to ensure compatibility.
  • Research and utilize industry standard methods and techniques.
  • Maintain JIRA projects, workflow, permissions, and users to include adding external pug-ins and modifying JQL as needed.
  • Improve JIRA security.  Set access permissions for JIRA projects.
  • Work with JIRA filters, reporting, dashboards, workflows, fields, and JIRA administration.
  • Communicate and share knowledge with internal and external project resources at all levels.
  • Manage incident ticket data for reporting and data analytics.

Qualifications

  • Requires a bachelor’s degree and 4-8 years of prior relevant experience, additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Minimum of 3+ years hands-on experience working with the JIRA, SharePoint and SAP.  Specific focus on JIRA as a Project/Application Administrator OR willingness to learn.
  • Expert level administration knowledge on JIRA is a plus.
  • Ability or willingness to learn how to construct custom dashboards using various filter types in JIRA, is a must.
  • Strong analytical skills and desire to learn new tool integration to JIRA.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and fast paced delivery environment.
  • Must have strong work ethic with good time management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to translate highly technical matter to non-technical audience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to write custom JQL (Jira Query Language) a plus.
  • Experience performing JIRA project configuration including customized workflow post – functions, custom listeners, custom events, and complex work item security schemes.
  • Experience constructing JQL including advanced functions.
  • Set up and use of JIRA API’s
